More Good Days, Together

More Good Days, Together

May brings Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to pause, reflect, and remember that healing is not a linear journey. It’s about progress, not perfection. As a life coach, I’ve witnessed how even the smallest mindset shifts can plant seeds of lasting change. This month is a reminder that good will come—sometimes quietly, sometimes unexpectedly, but always within reach.

Recognizing the Season You’re In

We live in a culture that praises speed and strength, yet mental health requires gentleness and space. It’s okay to be in a slower season. It’s okay if all you did today was breathe, shower, or answer one email. Self-compassion is not complacency—it’s fuel for resilience.

The Power of “Yet”

When you catch yourself thinking, “I’m not there,” try adding one powerful word: “yet.”

            “I don’t feel confident… yet.”

            “I haven’t found balance… yet.”

This tiny shift opens the door for growth, showing your brain that change is still possible. Hope lives in “yet.”

Reconnecting to What’s Good

Even in hard times, there are moments of goodness—morning light, a kind text, a quiet victory. Noticing them doesn’t erase pain; it balances perspective. Gratitude isn’t denial—it’s vitamin D for the soul.

A simple practice for this month:
Before bed, jot down one good thing that happened today. Over time, these become small proof points that better days are unfolding, one step at a time.

Seeking Support

Mental Health Awareness Month is also about breaking stigma. It’s brave to seek therapy, talk to a trusted friend, or confide in a coach. Healing thrives in connection. You don’t have to do this alone—and you were never meant to.

Remember: Healing is not about returning to who you were before the pain—it’s becoming someone wiser, softer, and more self-aware because of it. The good that’s coming isn’t just relief—it’s transformation.
